VHCA plants and maintains the plantings at the Triangle at the southwest corner of N. Highland Ave. and Virginia Ave. The Triangle is a reminder of past days when the Nine-Mile Circle streetcar needed a wide berth to turn the corner here as it returned to Downtown Atlanta via Highland, Ponce, Boulevard, and Houston St. (now John Wesley Dobbs).

The Triangle was improved in 2009 as part of the “Streetscapes II” project. In 2012, the Triangle is due for a “horticultural makeover”; see below.
